Since the phone is up gradable to Lollipop, you can imagine why people actually love this phone. The phone comes with an Octa-core processor with 2 GB of Ram for faster and better processing.
Its 13-megapixel rear camera along with auto focus and LED flash feature enhances your picture taking experience. The phone come with 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB inbuilt memory and it also supports an external card up to 64 GB. The 5.0 inches screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection makes it the best phone for anyone who likes big screens with brighter and sharper output.
This phone is an excellent example of technological goodness, but this all is wasted if you do not know how to use the phone to its full potential. In order to ensure that you enjoy this phone as much as possible, we have created a list of 8 best tips and tricks of Samsung Galaxy S4.
Use your Eyeballs to Interact With your Phone:
This was perhaps one of the best features of Samsung Galaxy S4. The phone had the ability to track your eyes and see exactly where you are looking at the screen. If this feature, the Smarty Stay, is enabled, your phone will automatically dim those areas of the screen where you are not looking at.
Another interesting thing is that you can scroll the web pages using your head movement. Not only this, the phone pauses any video that you are watching once you move your face away from the display. Just imagine, how cool is this? You don’t have to worry about pausing the video before moving your phone, the phone will automatically do that for you.
To enable of all the above features, you can either go to settings>My Device>Smart Screen or you can simply pull down the notification bar, from there you have to tap on the Quick Settings icon that is located at the top-right corner of your screen.
The amazing Multi-window Mode:
Galaxy S4 literally takes multi-tasking to a next level. This feature might have been introduced in Galaxy Note range, but Samsung finally decided to incorporate it in the S series. I personally believe it to be an excellent decision. The feature basically allows you to run two applications at one time on the screen. Each takes a portion of the screen. This means, you can watch different movie trailers, while you are browsing the internet for their reviews.
To enable this amazing feature, press down on the Back button. After sliding it out, select the applications that you want to run simultaneously and enjoy the true multi-tasking. S4 even allows you to enlarge or shrink the space for each application. Just drag the edges of the app’s window whose size you want to alter.
Record video or Take a Photo with your Voice:
This is an amazing feature for all the selfie lovers. No longer, do you have to struggle in order to take a picture, just order the phone and it will obey your every command. Using fingers to interact with your phone is really the thing of past now. The modern thing is to use your vocal chords to get your things done. S4 allows you to make a video or take a picture using your voice. Just make sure that you have enabled this feature. Once enabled, say “Cheese” and the phone captures that moment for you.
Free 50 GB Cloud Storage:
The phone is full and you want to save up some space. Just get yourself registered with the Dropbox and enjoy 50 GB memory for an entire year. Upload pictures, save movies and do whatever you want because we can assure you that 50 GB is never going to end. You can either manually upload files or you can configure Dropbox to automatically upload any files or photos that you want to save to the cloud storage. This means you are not going to lose any precious picture in case your phone gets stolen.
Web Browser allows Desktop View:
This is my favorite feature, I have always been a fan of browsing the web in desktop view. However, not many phones provide this feature in which you can view the desktop version of the website on your mobile phone. But, now thanks to Samsung Galaxy S4, you can search the web in desktop view, even though you are using the internet through your phone. Enjoy the complete features that a website has to offer. To enjoy the big screen option, go to Setting and tick on the “Desktop View” option.
Answer a call using a hand gesture:
Your phone is ringing, but you can’t attend the call because your hands are dirty. So, what now? Let the phone be? Nope, just enable the Air Gesture feature on S4. All you have to do is swipe your palm in front of the phone while it is ringing and your call will be answered. You don’t actually have to touch the phone.
Adding Widgets to the lock screen:
You can read your emails or reply to your text messages without actually unlocking your phone. You just need to add the widgets to your lock screen. Go to Setting, from there to My Device and select the lock screen Multiple Widget options. To access the widgets from the lock screen, swipe lift to right in the top section.
Keep on watching your video:
Now, you don’t pause your video in order to reply to a text or browse on the internet. Samsung inbuilt video player allows you to pop out the window i.e. you can go on watching the movie while you are doing other things on your phone. All you have to do is load the clip and then tap on the bottom right corner. You can even resize this pop-up window to your liking.
The company might have discontinued the phone, but it does not mean that you have to miss out on such an amazing phone. You can now buy it from Alpha Smartphones.
