Love it or Hate it, The iPhone 6 is an Inspiring Smartphone – Review How it Differs From Other Smartphones.
With iPhone 6, you are going to have two options, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. Both are bigger and have more screen display than iPhone 5, that measure 4 inches diagonally. iPhone 6, on the other hand, is 4.7 inches and iPhone 6 Plus will be 5.5 inches. But what exactly do you think these numbers mean?
iPhone is the best smartphone that has ever come into the market, but it is not perfect. Like any other smartphone, there are a couple of things about iPhone that will drive you batty. But before we get onto those things, let us talk about things that will make you fall in love with this amazing phone.
Okay, some might say that iPhone tried to copy the rounded edges idea from Samsung Galaxy series, but honestly, rounded edges look way better on an iPhone as compared to Samsung Galaxy series. Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus are extremely thin and light and there no jagged or square edges on the devices.
This curvy design gives an iPhone a softer look however, it does lose the distinctive look that its predecessors and other smartphones on the market depict. But what iPhone 6 lacks in looks, it makes up in its usability.
Ironically, iPhone ugliest part tends to deliver its best features. The camera of iPhone 6 is out of iPhone’s back by about a millimeter. Although, I wanted to pop it back in, however, Apple knows better so I had to be content with their decision.
Gone are the days when your photos would become blare, like in iPhone 5. Every picture taken using iPhone 6’s camera is clear and precise. The best part is that the phone performs masterfully even when there is weird lighting condition, for example, you take a picture in a shadow, while the sun is shining brightly.
Photo management is also better and improved in iPhone 6. This is a plus for all the photo lovers. Even the front camera of the phone produces high-quality pictures. I personally wasn’t a fan of iPhone 5 front camera. The slow-motion and time-lapse video function seems improved and enhanced as compared to the previous iPhones.
Screen quality and resolution is another improvement from the previous iPhone. iPhone 6 offers a 16:9 resolution of 1334×750 (332 ppi). With its HD retina display and olephobic coating, the screen is noticeably sharp. The best thing is that the screen looks great even when you are not looking at it. This is very useful especially when you are watching pictures with your family or friends.
People have been complaining about iPhone 5’s fingerprint sensor, but it seems there is no such problem with iPhone 6. Its fingerprint sensor is not only accurate but also very convenient. Because of it, buying music, downloading apps and signing into your phone is like a piece of cake.
So, this means that when Apple Pay is going to be a cinch. Paying for your things through your iPhone will become very easy. As all you would have to do is hold your iPhone 6 up to a payment terminal while you press down on the TouchID sensor. This will work once, Apply Pay launches. Till then we have our fingers cross.
We are done with parsing iPhone lets move on to things that I am sure you are going to hate.
What a big mess iCloud has been this time. When I was tiring to set up my iPhone 6, a prompts asked me if I would like to upgrade to iCloud drive. It took hours and hours for the iCloud drive to get updated. I had to wait for more than 8 hours. Finally, when the upgrade was completed, I must say, I wasn’t impressed with it. I uploaded my files to iCloud.com and I have no idea how to retrieve or see them on my phone. The worst part is there is no iCloud drive like a Google’s drive.
Even though iCloud makes a backup of all my photos via Photo Stream, but there is no way I can manage the backup. What if I just want to save the photos on iCloud in order to save my precious storage, how should I go about?
I have always been a fan of IOS, but it seems IOS 8 was little disappointing. Although, the IOS comes with a some really nice features such as text notification that allows you to reply without opening the iMessage, spotlight universal search feature and the amazing camera software along with the already existing excellent IOS features including Facebook Integration, Control Center quick task launcher and of course Face Time.
But still, there are a number of things that you are going to hate about IOS 8. For starters, you are going to hate the setting up process of your new iPhone 6 due to numerous question asked by the new Operating System. Siri has improved over time, but it still lacks the intelligence.
Apple added unnecessary steps for clearing and accessing the notification, making the entire process more annoying than before. Also, all the new widgets present in the notification screen are worthless, or at least the ones I tested, I find them to be particularly useless.
Additional apps that iPhone 6 had inbuilt were passbook, maps, tips and compass. But nothing, in particular, is useful, I believe them to be simply waste of storage. Also, you can hide or delete this unwanted app, so the best way to deal with them is to put them in a folder and name it “Crap” or whatever you want.
So the bottom line is: iPhone 6 is an incredibly well-designed and a gorgeous smartphone with some neat tricks and world-beating camera. The best thing is, you can buy this amazing phone for half or even less of the original cost at Alpha Smartphones.
